This large Victorian house included an unfinished attic with a soaring roof structure. The owners wanted to finish the space for a bedroom, bath and common room for the kids. They loved  the wood of the original structure and wanted a similar feel in the new space.

While  the roof assembly had to be reinforced  with new framing, insulated and enclosed, the new finished wood

plank ceiling and trimmed beams captures the feel of the wooden structure.
